Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Quiet Signal LLC (“Quiet Signal,” “we” or “us”), which operates Everyday Mahj. They cover your use of the Everyday Mahj website, web app and mobile apps (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. Who can use Everyday Mahj
You must be at least 13 years old to use Everyday Mahj. If you’re under 18, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. You can’t use the Service if we’ve previously banned you from it or if the law doesn’t allow you to use it.
2. Your account
You can play without an account. If you create one, you agree to:
Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
Keep your password secure and not share your account with anyone.
Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account.
Take responsibility for activity that happens under your account.
Your username must follow our Community Guidelines. We may change or remove a username that doesn’t.
3. Community Guidelines
Your use of the Service must follow our Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms. They explain what’s allowed in usernames and profile photos, how to report or block other players, and what happens when the rules are broken.
Read the Community Guidelines4. Your content
“Your content” means your username, profile photo and anything else you submit to the Service. You keep ownership of your content. By submitting it, you give Quiet Signal a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and reproduce it as needed to operate and improve the Service, for example to show your username and photo on the leaderboard. This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except where we need to keep it to comply with the law.
You’re responsible for your content, so only submit content you have the right to use. We may screen content automatically before it appears, and we may remove content that breaks these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Use the Service in a way that breaks any law or regulation.
Cheat, use bots or scripts, exploit bugs, or manipulate the leaderboard.
Try to access accounts, data or systems you aren’t authorized to access.
Interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service.
Copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell any part of the Service, except where the law allows it.
Use the Service to harass others, send spam or collect other players’ information.
6. The game and the Everyday Mahj card
Everyday Mahj is a free game for entertainment. Games are played against computer opponents, and no real money or prizes are involved. Game results, statistics and leaderboard standings are provided for fun, and we may reset, correct or change them.
Everyday Mahj uses its own card of winning hands. Everyday Mahj isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the National Mah Jongg League.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, graphics, tile artwork, text and the Everyday Mahj name and logo, is owned by Quiet Signal and protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial entertainment, in line with these Terms. You may not use our name, logo or artwork without our written permission.
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.
Read the Privacy Policy9. Changes to the Service
We’re always improving Everyday Mahj, so we may add, change or remove features at any time. The Service is currently free. If we ever introduce paid features, we’ll tell you the price and terms before you pay for anything.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can delete your account from Profile › Account.
We may suspend or end your access to the Service, or remove your content, if you break these Terms or our Community Guidelines, if the law requires it, or to protect other players or the Service. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including the licenses you’ve granted, disclaimers, limitations of liability and governing law, will continue to apply.
11. App stores
If you download Everyday Mahj from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and Quiet Signal, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google aren’t responsible for the app or its content and have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Your use of the app must also follow the app store’s own terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that your game history and statistics will always be available.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quiet Signal won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, if any, or US$50. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Quiet Signal harmless from any claims, damages and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you and Quiet Signal consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
17. General
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a provision, that isn’t a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms, but we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These Terms, together with our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Quiet Signal about the Service.
